Masks for the Avro Vulcan B.2 in 1:144 scale (Peewit) are die-cut self-adhesive templates for the glazing. It is not a kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
Note that this is not an aircraft model but a set of masking templates. The Czech brand Peewit makes die-cut self-adhesive masks for plastic models, typically for canopy frames and for wheels. In 1:144 scale a mask is the most valuable of all scales: the glazing of the Vulcan is small and broken up, so the frames are practically impossible to paint with a brush.
The Avro Vulcan was a British strategic bomber with a delta wing, one of the three types that carried the British nuclear deterrent during the Cold War. The B.2 version had an enlarged wing, more powerful engines and equipment for carrying a guided missile, so it could work at high altitudes as well. The best-known use of the Vulcan, though, was the raids on a distant airfield during the Falklands War, when the aircraft flew extraordinarily long missions with repeated refueling. The triangular wing makes it one of the most easily recognized aircraft of all.
Lay the masks onto clean and degreased glazing and press them down with the point of a pair of tweezers; in the small scale, work in good light and with a magnifier. Spray the frames in the interior color first and only then in the external shade. Apply the paint in several thin coats; a heavy coat tears when the mask is lifted. Lift the mask while the paint has only set. With the white anti-flash scheme, allow for white needing a perfect base and several thin coats.
The set holds masks only. The kit, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
