An injection-molded plastic kit in 1:16 scale, one of the largest scales commonly available for ground vehicles. The abbreviation Pz.Bef.Wg. stands for Panzerbefehlswagen, that is an armored command vehicle; the word Fahrgestell in the name specifies that it was built on the chassis of the Pz.Kpfw.III tank in the Ausf. J version. The model comes from the Chinese manufacturer Trumpeter and is supplied unassembled and unpainted. The number of parts, the extent of the interior and the make-up of the decal sheet are not stated here.
Command vehicles were created by modifying the production tank for the needs of unit control. Compared with the standard machine they carried extended radio equipment with additional receivers and transmitters, a map table and a rearranged fighting compartment, which also called for different antenna equipment.
