A plastic kit of the Chevrolet Blazer competition vehicle of model year 1978 in Pulldozer trim, in 1:24 scale from Revell. It is not a production off-road Blazer — it is a modified machine for truck pulling, where the vehicles drag a weight sled along a track. The manufacturer gives 122 parts, difficulty level 4, chrome-plated parts and tires made of a soft black compound. It is supplied unassembled and unpainted.
The real subject is the Chevrolet Blazer of the generation with the square-cut body that Chevrolet built from the seventies and that enthusiasts know as the squarebody. Pulling vehicles are built on such a basis with a reinforced frame, a heavily modified engine, special tires and ballast at the front so that the nose does not lift under load. Truck pulling events are among the most popular amateur motorsport gatherings in North America.
Finish and paint the frame, the engine and the driveline before you seat the body. A competition vehicle carries bold graphics well — use gloss paint and clear coat over the decals so that their edges do not show. Do not glue the tires with cement for plastic, because the soft compound will not bond with it; use an adhesive meant for dissimilar materials. Mud and abrasion on the chassis and on the tires give the machine its credibility.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
