It is an older, simply designed tooling with a classic look, which will especially appeal to collectors of historic single-seaters and fans of simple kits. The model represents an open single-seat racer from the early 1950s. The exact package contents are given in the manufacturer's instructions.
The Alfa Romeo 158/159, nicknamed the Alfetta, was a European racing single-seater with a supercharged inline eight-cylinder engine. In 1950, Alfa Romeo drivers used it to dominate the very first season of the Formula One World Championship, with the title going to Giuseppe Farina. The car became known for its reliability and high performance and ranks among the icons of the early days of the premier class of motorsport.
With the older tooling, plan on careful cleanup of the mold seams and gates. Finish the body with a gloss coat, which brings out the classic Italian racing red. The small parts and wheel spokes stand out once painted silver. Apply a gloss coat before the decals, then a matte or semi-gloss coat afterward as preferred.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints, and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
