An injection-molded plastic kit of the Mercedes-Benz Actros MP4 tractor unit with the Big Space cab, that is with the tallest cab variant. The Grand Prix edition differs from the other boxings in its decals with a racing livery; according to the supplier it is a 2025 release with new decals, the kit has more than 300 parts and the finished model measures roughly 26.5 x 9.5 x 12.5 cm. Neither the doors nor the hood open. The box holds only the tractor unit; no semi-trailer or trailer is included.
The Actros is a heavy Mercedes-Benz truck for long-distance haulage and the MP4 generation was built from 2011. The Big Space cab is the tallest version with a flat floor, so the crew can stand up inside it; for long-distance runs that is a fundamental difference from the lower cabs. Vehicles in a racing livery with logos and lettering are used as tractor units for moving equipment and as rolling advertising, so the combination of a production tractor and striking graphics matches reality.
On a tractor unit the gloss of the cab decides everything. Smooth the surfaces, spray a primer and apply the lacquer in thin coats; once dry, polish the surface and apply the decals over a gloss base so that no matte frame appears. Chrome is best handled with an adhesive film or a dedicated paint rather than with silver acrylic. Paint the frame and the chassis before you cover them with tanks and lockers. Finish the engine and the interior before closing up the cab.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
