A 3D interior decal for building the Japanese sports car Nissan Skyline GT-R R34 in the V-Spec form in 1:24 scale from the Russian brand Quinta Studio. The set is supplemented with metal sticker parts, which give the gloss of real metal where paint would look like plastic. The box states the Skyline from Tamiya as the target kit. Under a separate number the manufacturer also offers the later V-Spec II form.
The Nissan Skyline GT-R of the R34 generation is a Japanese sports car with a twin-turbocharged inline six-cylinder engine and all-wheel drive, built at the turn of the millennium. The V-Spec form brought a firmer chassis, an active rear differential and aerodynamic modifications underneath the car; the later V-Spec II built on those with further details. In the interior the most striking feature is the central display, which showed the operating data of the engine and the drivetrain.
3D decals are not applied like an ordinary decal. Paint the surface in the cabin first and give it a gloss clear coat, because the decal will not seat on a matte surface. Dip the part briefly in warm water, release it from the paper and seat it in place; the makers recommend helping it along with white PVA glue. Then press the shape down carefully with a cotton swab so that the relief follows the base, and let it dry thoroughly. Do not use solvent-based decal softeners, as they can attack the surface.
This is an add-on for a model, not a kit. The base kit, paints and glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
