The manufacturer offers it as a universal accessory for any kit and, besides this shade, offers two further colors under separate numbers. This is an interior accessory, not a model of the car; the kit and paints are not included in the package.
A six-point harness holds the driver firmly in the seat: two shoulder straps, two lap straps and two crotch straps come together in a single central buckle, so the body stays in place even in an impact and cannot slip out under the lap strap. The shoulder straps are wider than the lap straps so as to spread the load across the chest. In the interior of a racing car the harness is a strong splash of color that can hardly be missed.
Set the harness into a painted and dried seat, preferably before you build the seat into the interior. Most of the work is in the shaping: a strap should look as if it hangs and sags slightly, not like a straight ribbon. Leave the buckle and the fittings until last and bring them to life with a metallic shade and a spot of gloss. Check dry that the straps do not run over the frames and do not stop the body closing, because once it is closed you can no longer reach them.
