This injection-molded plastic kit in 1:24 scale from Tamiya captures the modern Toyota GR Supra sports coupe. The model offers a realistically detailed interior, a multi-part center console and dashboard, seats with separate headrests and a detailed chassis with multi-part wheel suspension and exhaust. According to the manufacturer the car can be built in the specification for Japan, the United States or Europe, with parts for both left-hand and right-hand drive.
The new GR Supra was presented in 2019 and immediately stirred enormous interest. It bet on the classic sports car layout: a turbocharged inline six-cylinder engine, rear-wheel drive and a striking body with a long nose, a short tail and the so-called double-bubble roof. It carries the sporting GR (Gazoo Racing) designation and follows on from the famous Supra name.
The rounded body deserves a clean coat over primer and a gloss clear coat at the end. The box includes metal transfers and masking stickers for the windows, which make masking the glazing during painting easier. Paint and assemble the richly detailed interior before you close up the body. Add the two-part wheels with their chrome-plated and black sections only after the paint is on.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
