An injection-molded plastic kit of an American van in 1:25 scale in the Model Set edition, that is, together with modeling paints, a brush and glue. The manufacturer lists the kit under the license of the Stranger Things series as the van of a radio station with the call sign WSQK, which has a major role in the fifth season. The exact number of parts is given on the box and in the instructions inside the kit.
The subject is an American commercial van from the second half of the 1970s, that is, the type with a long flat side panel, a square front end and sliding doors. Vehicles like this were commonly used in the United States as tradesmen's, delivery and broadcast vans, and it was exactly the large smooth side panel that made them an ideal carrier for company lettering. In the series the van belongs to a radio station, and its graphics are also the main recognition feature of the model.
The whole thing here stands on the paint and the decals. The side panel is one large smooth surface, so sand the mold seams down to nothing and unify the surface with a filler primer, otherwise every unevenness will show through the decal. Lay the large graphics over a gloss base, use a decal softener and press the air out from under the film with a soft cloth from the center outwards. Finish the interior and the front grille before you close up the body; a dark wash will bring the chassis to life.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. The set contains paints, a brush and glue; other accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
