The third generation of the Volkswagen transporter was produced from the end of the nineteen seventies and is set apart from its rounder predecessors at first glance by an angular body with a flat front. The vehicle was sold as a panel van, a flatbed and a passenger version, and thanks to its roominess it became an icon of leisure culture. The screen conversion comes exactly from this plain utility variant, which graphics and accessories turned into a delivery vehicle.
A body with large flat areas is rewarding but merciless to irregularities, so sand the areas with fine paper before the coat and degrease them. Apply the color in several thin coats. Large-area graphics seat more easily on a gloss undercoat; in applying them warm water and pressure with a soft cloth from the center to the edges help. Finish the interior and the glazing before you close the body up. The chassis and the wheels take a light dusting, so that the vehicle does not look like a display exhibit.
The vehicle is supplied in the form of parts meant for assembly and subsequent painting.
