An injection-molded plastic kit of the German improvised self-propelled anti-tank gun called Diana in 1:35 scale from Bronco. The vehicle combined a captured Soviet gun of 7.62 cm caliber with the chassis of a five-ton half-track tractor and is one of the most unusual improvisations of the whole war.
When the Germans captured a large number of Soviet divisional guns of 76.2 mm caliber on the Eastern Front in 1941, it turned out that the weapon was better against tanks than their own anti-tank guns of the time. They therefore redesignated the weapons and seated some of them on the chassis that were available. Diana carried the gun in a tall angular armored superstructure on a five-ton half-track tractor, so it had a conspicuously tall and unwieldy silhouette. Only about nine vehicles came about and all of them went to North Africa.
The tall angular superstructure has large flat surfaces on which every unevenness shows; fill the seams carefully and sand them. Finish and paint the interior of the superstructure and the gun before you close the superstructure up. The track of the half-track is fully visible from the side, so give it time. The vehicles in North Africa carried a sand color, in which a dark wash in the panel lines and pronounced dust on the fenders and in the lower part stand out.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
