An injection-molded plastic kit of the German 8-ton half-track Sd.Kfz.7/2 with the 3.7 cm Flak 37 in 1:35 scale from Tamiya, the armored-cab version. The parts are molded in sand color. The kit offers a faithful model with a detailed chassis, an armored driver's cab and radiator grille, plastic mesh sides and rear of the cargo bed, and a finely detailed 3.7 cm Flak 37 anti-aircraft gun.
The German 8-ton half-track Sd.Kfz.7 served as a carrier for various weapons; fitted with the 3.7 cm Flak 37 anti-aircraft gun, it became the Sd.Kfz.7/2 version. It was produced from 1943, and later examples received armor for the driver's cab and radiator. A total of 123 Sd.Kfz.7/2 vehicles were built. Besides Luftwaffe anti-aircraft units, it was also used in an anti-tank role with Stielgranate 41 ammunition.
First assemble and paint the chassis and running gear, then close them up with the body. Glue the parts with thin liquid cement for plastic. The flexible plastic tracks make fitting the running gear easier. The rear of the cargo bed can be built raised or lowered. For weathering, use washes and pigments (mud and dust effects); we recommend a primer and an airbrush before final painting.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints, and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
