A plastic kit of the British Bedford OXD truck in the Mk.I version in 1:35 scale from Riich Models. The box covers both the early and the late production form, so the builder can choose the period into which the model is set. The cab has a worked-out interior.
The Bedford OX was the lighter of the pair of British military trucks of the O series, and in the OXD form it served as a general service truck. It carried supplies and equipment, towed light trailers, and behind the front it belonged to the vehicles that were everywhere. It is precisely the differences between early and late production, from the cab to small chassis details, that decide on the model whether it is correctly placed in a particular year and theater.
Decide on the variant before you start building, because the differences also affect parts that get covered. Finish and paint the cab interior before closing it. The British military green comes out well with a gentle lightening of the horizontal surfaces and a dust effect around the wheels. The wooden parts of the bed take an undercoat and highlighting of the wood structure well.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
