An injection-molded plastic kit of the British quarter-ton light off-road vehicle with a trailer and figures of a crew of British airborne troops in 1:35 scale from Bronco. It is a whole scene in one package: the vehicle, the trailer and the crew.
The British airborne units received quarter-ton light off-road vehicles in a modified version: narrowed, without unnecessary parts and with modifications that allowed the vehicle to be loaded into a glider or dropped by parachute. With them the airborne troops moved about after the drop and towed behind them a trailer with ammunition, gear and a radio set. Vehicles fitted out like this with a trailer are among the iconic images of the operation at Arnhem and of the landing in Normandy, because without them the airborne troops had no way of moving a heavier load.
Decide at the start how you will build the scene: a vehicle with a trailer and figures works best when the figures have a relationship to the vehicle, that is someone drives, someone loads. Finish and paint the interior of the vehicle and of the trailer before you close the assembly up. Clean the mold seams off the figures, paint the face and the hands separately and seat them only after painting. It pays to add your own small items to the load in the trailer, so that it is not empty. The British olive color stands out with a dark wash and dust in the lower part.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
