Bronco Cruiser Tank Mk.I and Mk.I CS (A9) is an injection-molded plastic kit of a British cruiser tank in 1:35 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the British A9 cruiser tank, that is the Cruiser Tank Mark I, in 1:35 scale from Bronco. The kit makes it possible to build both versions: the standard Mk.I with the anti-tank gun and the Mk.I CS support version, that is close support, with a howitzer. It is a less common subject from the early phase of the Second World War.
The A9 was the first British tank designated as a cruiser, that is a machine meant for a fast push into the depth rather than for supporting infantry. It had light armor and a striking armament layout: besides the main turret it carried two small machine gun turrets on the sides of the nose. The Mk.I version had a 2-pounder anti-tank gun, while the Mk.I CS version had a howitzer for smoke and high-explosive rounds in its place. The British army deployed the vehicles in France in 1940 and in North Africa, where it became clear that neither their armor nor their suspension was up to the job.
First decide which version you are building and sort the parts according to the instructions so that they do not get mixed up. Fit the small machine gun turrets on the nose only once the body is painted, because you cannot get in between them properly with a brush or an airbrush. Finish the running gear and the inside of the hull before you close the hull up. The British sand camouflage of the North African campaign comes alive with a fine wash and dust effects on the lower part of the hull.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
