In a diorama a wall is a quiet helper. It bounds a scene, hides the edge of the plate, gives a figure something to lean on and above all creates a background against which a model stands out. This one is modeled as a masonry garden wall with a visible structure of the brickwork and of the surface plaster. The casting is supplied unpainted; it is a diorama element, not a vehicle kit and not a complete building.
The package contains a cast garden wall in 1:35 scale. Terrain, figures, vegetation, paints and glue are not included. The surface is ready for painting.
Wash the casting in lukewarm water with a detergent, let it dry and prime it. The wall looks best when you paint it unevenly: complement the basic tone of the plaster with lighter and darker patches, add a darker deposit from splashing water to the lower part and expose the brick where the plaster has fallen away. Bring out the joints with a dark seeping wash. Down at the foot of the wall a small deposit of soil, tufts of grass and a few pebbles work well, because that is exactly where the mess collects.
The element is supplied unpainted. Terrain, figures, paints and glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
