An injection-molded plastic kit from the Ukrainian manufacturer Miniart. The model captures the German three-ton all-wheel-drive truck in the troop carrier form. The cab and the cargo bed are worked out in detail, the surfaces carry faithful texture and photo-etched metal and decals for three marking options are in the package.
The 3.6-6700A type was a variant of the most widespread German truck of the Second World War. The letter A stands for all-wheel drive: while the basic form had only the rear axle driven and failed off the road, this version received a shorter wheelbase and greater ground clearance and got through where an ordinary vehicle bogged down. It was powered by a six-cylinder gasoline engine of 3.6 liters producing around seventy horsepower. From 1940 to 1944 approximately twenty-five thousand were built and they carried practically everything, from ammunition to troops.
Finish and paint the chassis and the inside of the body before you close the body up, because you will not reach them later. Plastic parts are bonded with liquid cement, photo-etched parts with super glue. Apply a primer before painting, and only then the camouflage coat. Build the weathering from the bottom up: first a dark wash into the recesses and seams, then a dry brush on the edges and finally dust and mud pigments on the chassis and on the underside of the body.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
