An injection-molded plastic kit of the German two-wheeled Sd.Ah. 52 ammunition trailer for the 3.7 cm anti-aircraft gun in 1:35 scale from Bronco. It is neither a vehicle nor a weapon, but a trailer: an accessory that is hitched behind a tractor or parked next to the firing position.
The 3.7 cm anti-aircraft gun burned through a great deal of ammunition when firing, so every firing position had an ammunition trailer with it. The Sd.Ah. 52 was a two-wheeled trailer with stowage compartments for magazines and boxes; it was hitched behind a half-track tractor or a truck, and in the position it was unhitched and parked beside the gun. Small items like this tend to be overlooked in dioramas, yet without them a firing position looks unfinished — a gun with no ammunition nearby does not read as convincing.
Cut the small trailer parts off with a sharp blade while they are still on the sprue and glue them with liquid cement for plastic. If rubber tires are included, fit them onto the rims dry and only once the rims are painted. Finish and paint the insides of the stowage compartments before you close them; if you want to leave part of them open, it pays to add magazines and boxes inside. Dust on the wheels and in the fenders, plus small chips along the edges, will give the trailer some age.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
