An injection-molded plastic kit of the German Panzer I light tank in the Ausf.B version in 1:35 scale from the Japanese manufacturer Tamiya. The model offers precise parts, one-piece fenders with an anti-slip pattern, a photo-etched part for the exhaust cover, a commander figure and a choice of several marking options.
The Panzer I was developed under a cover designation as an agricultural tractor, to conceal German rearmament. The Ausf.B version received a more powerful engine and a slightly lengthened hull; the main armament was a pair of machine guns. The vehicle was used at the start of the war, in Poland, France and on the Eastern Front among other places, and served mainly for training and reconnaissance.
Finish the running gear and the interior before you close the hull. Glue the parts with thin cement for plastic and the photo-etched exhaust cover with cyanoacrylate. A primer base, an airbrushed coat and weathering with washes and pigments for mud and dust effects are recommended.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
