1:35 KF51 Panther is a plastic kit of the modern German main battle tank from Amusing Hobby. The package holds photo-etched parts and workable track links.
Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit in 1:35 scale. To the plastic sprues the manufacturer adds photo-etched parts and tracks of workable links, so the sag can be set to the terrain. The kit builds the KF51 Panther with its angular turret, applique armor blocks, a remote controlled weapon station and a launcher for loitering munitions. The number of parts and the list of markings are not stated here.
The KF51 Panther is a design by the German arms maker Rheinmetall, which the manufacturer presented in 2022. It is based on the hull of the Leopard 2 tank and carries an entirely new turret with a 130 mm gun 52 calibers long and an autoloader, where part of the ammunition is held ready to fire in two magazines. The secondary armament is a coaxial machine gun and a remote controlled weapon station of smaller caliber, and the novelty is a launcher for loitering munitions that look for a target out of the crew's sight. The crew numbers three, and room is reckoned with for a fourth specialist. Protection combines multilayer armor with an active system that tries to hit the incoming round before impact.
Finish and paint the running gear while the hull is still open. Assemble the workable tracks before painting, paint them separately and only then fit them, so that the paint does not crack in the links. Modern vehicles call for restrained weathering: a light wash into the gaps, dry dust on the running gear and only a few traces of wear on the edges, because new machines tend to be looked after.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
