An injection-molded plastic kit of the German off-road truck Krupp Protze (Kfz.70) in 1:35 scale from the Japanese maker Tamiya. The model captures the six-wheeled vehicle in the 6x4 layout with an open body for carrying troops. The box contains a richly broken down chassis and interior, separate accessory parts, three figures and a decal sheet for several vehicles.
The Krupp Protze was a light off-road truck of the German army that supported mechanized warfare at the beginning of the Second World War. Thanks to its air-cooled flat four-cylinder engine it earned the nickname boxer. In the Kfz.70 form the vehicle carried troops and supplies and served as a tractor for light guns. It was light, agile across country and widespread above all in the early campaigns of the German army.
The vehicle has a well worked-out chassis and an interior to the body - assemble and paint them before you close the bodywork up. Glue the parts with a liquid modeling cement for plastic, sand the joints and apply a primer. The accessories and the figures supplied bring the scene to life. Shade the typical early war gray or the later dark yellow with an airbrush; bring the chassis, the wheels and the lower body to life with washes and pigments for mud and dust effects.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
