Injection-molded plastic kit of a modern American wheeled armored vehicle in 1:35 scale from Trumpeter. This is the M1132 engineer variant of the Stryker family, fitted with a mine roller. The kit offers a choice between the lightweight mine roller (LWMR) and a dozer blade on the front of the vehicle. The box contains parts in gray plastic, photo-etched sheet, rubber tires and a richly detailed upper hull.
The M1132 is the engineer member of the American wheeled Stryker family (8x8), intended to breach lanes through mined ground and to support an engineer squad. The mine roller at the front safely sets off pressure mines before they would go off under the wheels of the vehicle, which protects both the crew and the machine itself, while a system at the rear marks the cleared, safe lane for the other vehicles. The wheeled layout of the Stryker gives it a high speed of movement on hard roads and easy maintenance in the field.
On a wheeled vehicle, take care to assemble the chassis and the axles cleanly so that the model stands straight on all its wheels. Decide before the build between the mine roller and the dozer blade, because it affects the final configuration. Fit and paint the tires separately; the wheels can be dusted with pigments. We recommend a primer, an airbrush and a liquid cement for plastic; glue the photo-etched parts and the fine aerials with cyanoacrylate glue. Bring the detailed upper hull to life with washes in the recesses and by picking out the edges lightly with a dry brush.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
