FORE ART 1:35 M688 Lance Loader-Transport is a plastic kit of the tracked vehicle that carried and loaded the missiles of the Lance system. According to the manufacturer it contains several build variants, photo-etched parts, 3D printed parts and decals.

This is a kit of the tracked loading and transport vehicle, not of the launcher itself. The M688 complemented the Lance missile system: it carried the missiles and transferred them onto the launch vehicle, so without it a battery could not continue firing. The manufacturer lists several build variants, photo-etched parts, 3D printed parts and decals in the package. The scale is 1:35 and the manufacturer's part number is FORE ART R5905.
The M688 stood on the same tracked chassis as the M752 launch vehicle and carried two missiles, while the launch vehicle carried one. A battery had two firing units and six missiles in total, with the missiles transferred onto the M688 from a truck. This divided operation is precisely what matters with tactical missile systems: after firing, the launch vehicle drives away from the position and the loading vehicle prepares the next round for it elsewhere. The Lance system remained in the armament of the Army of the United States from 1972 until the beginning of the 1990s.
Paint the running gear and the inside of the hull before closing the superstructure. Shape the photo-etched parts over a metal edge and glue them with cyanoacrylate; the same applies to the 3D printed parts, which are washed free of release agent residue before gluing. The vehicle carries large horizontal surfaces on which both a dust patina and a light wash into the engraved lines show up well, and the olive color takes toning with a lighter shade on the edges.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not part of the package, unless stated otherwise.
