FORE ART 1:35 MGM-52 Lance Missile with Launcher is a plastic kit of the American tactical missile Lance with its launcher. According to the manufacturer the package contains plastic parts and decals.
Responsibility details are not available.
This is a kit of the missile itself and its launcher, not of the loading vehicle, which the manufacturer keeps as a separate item. The manufacturer lists plastic parts and decals in the package; it does not mention photo-etched or 3D printed parts here. The scale is 1:35 and the manufacturer's part number is FORE ART R5906. Check on the packaging which version of the launcher the package contains, because the Lance was launched from more than one carrier.
The MGM-52 Lance was an American mobile tactical ballistic missile that provided fire support to ground forces. It was in the armament from 1972 until the beginning of the 1990s, and besides the United States it was also adopted by Britain, Belgium, the Netherlands, Italy and West Germany. It flew at a speed of more than three times the speed of sound, reached roughly 70 to 130 kilometers depending on the warhead, and aimed at the target with an inertial system. It carried either a nuclear warhead or a conventional one, including a cluster warhead. The propulsion used liquid propellants and the sustainer motor was built inside the annular booster motor.
The body of the missile is a long cylindrical part, so every irregularity will show on the joint between the halves: fill the seam, sand it along the axis and, before painting, go over it with a primer, which will reveal the flaws. Spray the olive color in thin coats and lighten the edges gently. Apply the warning panel decals onto the missile over a gloss coat so that the carrier film is not visible.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not part of the package, unless stated otherwise.
