An accessory set for dioramas, not a vehicle model. It holds the parts of a permanent way in the European standard gauge, from which a run of track 480 mm long is assembled, and three concrete poles as well. According to the manufacturer the track can also be curved, so it does not have to run straight.
Track is one of the strongest elements of a scene. It sets where the scene begins and ends, it leads the eye to the main model and it tells a story of its own: a derailed wagon, a loading ramp, a train with vehicles on flatcars, a guarded line behind the front. The poles also give the scene the height that ground-level dioramas so often lack.
Paint the rails separately from the ties, because they have a different texture and different weathering. Once dry, run fine abrasive paper over the rail head so that it stays shiny as if polished by wheels. Build the rust in layers from several shades, otherwise it looks uniform. The ties call for wood grain, and ballast scattered around the rail feet with pigment dusted into the joints suits them well.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and other accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
