An add-on set for dioramas, not a model of a vehicle. It contains the parts of a railway track in the Soviet broad gauge, from which a stretch four hundred and eighty millimeters long can be put together, and line poles to go with it.
The Soviet railway used a wider gauge than central and western Europe, a difference of about eight and a half centimeters in full size. In 1:35 scale that means a visibly different track width, so a scene from the Eastern Front built on European track will be wrong to a knowledgeable viewer. That is exactly why the maker offers both versions separately, and it is worth choosing according to where the view is set.
Paint the rails and the ties separately; they have a different texture and different weathering. Once the paint is dry, go over the railhead with fine abrasive paper so that it stays shiny as if from passing wheels. Build the rust up in layers from several shades. Sprinkle ballast at the joints and the rail feet, dust it with pigment once dry and add a little growth between the ties.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and other accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
