Residence fence elements, type C, 1:35 from Aber: a photo-etched set for building a metal fence on a diorama. It is not a vehicle kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
A wrought iron fence around a town villa is an element on a diorama that settles the setting at once: suddenly it is clear not only that a tank is standing there but where it is standing. Aber makes these elements by etching thin sheet, so the grillwork has real thickness and light passes through it, which matters on a fence. A cast or molded fence always looks too heavy. This is an accessory for a diorama, not a kit of a vehicle or a building.
The package holds an etched fret with fence elements in the version marked as type C. The set is from the same range as the other fence variants, which differ in the pattern of the grillwork. The set holds no posts, no base wall and no terrain; you build those yourself from the material available.
Cut the parts off the fret with sharp scissors or a scalpel on a hard surface and level the place left by the tab with a file. Photo-etch is glued with super glue, that is, cyanoacrylate, or soldered. Degrease the metal before painting and use a primer, or the paint will not hold on the smooth surface. Do not leave the fence perfectly straight: a slight bend and one section knocked out of line say more about a scene than a whole undamaged row.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
