This injection-molded plastic kit in 1:35 scale from Trumpeter captures the Soviet T-100 heavy tank in its twin-turret layout. It is an extensive model made up of a large number of parts with fine detail, link-and-length tracks and turrets from a multi-part mold. The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted.
The T-100 was a Soviet experimental heavy tank designed at the turn of 1938 and 1939 as one of the possible successors to the multi-turret T-35. It came out of a Leningrad design bureau and was distinguished by two turrets placed one above the other, a massive hull and a large running gear. It remained at the prototype stage and never reached series production, yet it is among the interesting dead ends in the development of Soviet armored vehicles.
On a model as intricate as this it pays to assemble and fine-tune the running gear and the link tracks before you close the hull up. Use liquid cement for plastic, clean up the joints and treat the surface with a primer. Lay the paint on with an airbrush and create the patina with washes and pigments for mud and dust effects.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
