The roof is the surface of a building that a viewer sees first from above, so every simplification on it shows. This tiling is laser-cut from colored paper, which has two advantages: the tiles have an exact shape and at the same time they are as thin as real tiling, so the edge of the roof does not look as if it were made of planks. The paper is colored through, so you do not necessarily have to paint it. The area corresponds to roughly 16 x 10 centimeters. It is not a building kit but a material for further working.
According to the manufacturer the package contains laser-cut tiling in colored paper covering an area of roughly 16 x 10 centimeters. A building, glue and paints are not included.
Lay the tiling with PVA glue in courses from the bottom upward, so that each higher course overlaps the one below, exactly as on a real roof. Apply the glue only to the top edge of a course; the lower edge then stays free and casts a shadow. Do not make the courses perfectly straight, and leave a few tiles turned or missing, because an old roof never looks new. The color of the paper can be adjusted with a glaze, but apply it with a dry brush so that the paper does not ripple.
The material is supplied for further working. Glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
