A photo-etched accessory for a model of the Udaloy-class destroyer in 1:350 scale from Trumpeter. It is a set of parts, not a ship model.
Responsibility details are not available.
A photo-etched detail set in 1:350 scale intended for plastic models of the Russian Udaloy-class destroyer. It is neither a ship model nor a kit: the package holds photo-etched brass frets that replace the parts which cannot be made thin enough in injection-molded plastic at this scale. The set comes from the same manufacturer as the plastic models of this ship.
Cut the photo-etched parts off the fret with a sharp scalpel on a hard surface; do not break them off. Make the bends in a bending tool or between two steel rulers, always along the scored line. They are glued with cyanoacrylate, and a gel version helps with the small parts. Degrease the brass before painting and spray it with a primer, otherwise the top coat will not hold on it. Fit the railings only after the hull and the superstructures have been painted.
For more experienced builders of ships in 1:350 scale who want to take the detail of a finished model further, and for those who have already worked with photo-etched parts.
This is an accessory set, not a ship model. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
