Aerial bomb set, 6 pieces, 1:48 (Ginger Cat) is six printed resin aerial bombs in 1:48 scale for British aircraft of the Second World War.
Responsibility details are not available.
A set of six printed resin aerial bombs in 1:48 scale from the Turkish brand Ginger Cat. The manufacturer designs its accessories in house and makes them by high-resolution resin printing. The box gives the count of six pieces. The weight class of the bombs is not stated here, because the figure on the box does not match any established class. This is an accessory of underwing stores, not a kit of an aircraft.
British aircraft of the Second World War carried bombs in several weight classes under their wings and fuselage, from the lightest practice bombs to heavy ones. The most common tactical bomb of the smaller class was the one a single-engine fighter-bomber could also carry, and it is bombs of that kind that appear on models most, because they fill empty pylons. The set suits aircraft whose kit does not include the armament.
First wash the printed resin parts in warm soapy water so that the print residue disappears from the surface and the paint will hold. Cut off the supports with a saw or a cutting disc, never with nippers, which will break the resin. The manufacturer recommends applying a base before painting. Glue the parts with cyanoacrylate glue or epoxy, as cement for plastic will not hold here. A dark wash into the recesses and a drybrush on the edges will draw out the detail. Wear a respirator while sanding.
This is an accessory to a model, not a kit. The base kit, paints and glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
