1:48 B-25 Mitchell — pilots' seats with belts and control columns from Art Scale are 3D-printed resin parts for the cockpit of the Mitchell. These are replacement interior parts, not an airplane model.
Responsibility details are not available.
A set of resin parts produced by 3D printing: the seats of both pilots with belts and the control columns for the cockpit of the B-25 Mitchell in 1:48 scale. It is not an airplane kit but an accessory that replaces the corresponding parts from the plastic kit. The belts are printed directly on the seats, so there is no need to add photo-etched parts or fabric. The manufacturer does not state the base kit for this set; the parts are cut for the Mitchell in 1:48 scale.
The cockpit of the B-25 was laid out for two pilots sitting side by side, each with a control column of their own with a combined wheel. The seats were of shell construction with padding and multi-point belts. These are exactly the parts that are most in view in an open cockpit, and in older molds they tend to be simplified, without pressed detail and without belts.
Wash the parts in warm soapy water and remove the supports from the print, best of all after warming them in hot water. It is glued with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Apply a primer before painting, then spray the seats with the base color and finish the belts with a brush. A dry brush and a dark wash bring out the pressed detail of the shells and the buckles of the belts nicely.
The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
