A newly developed injection-molded plastic kit of the American medium bomber Martin B-26B Marauder in 1:48 scale from the Ukrainian brand ICM. The model offers a finely detailed surface with delicate engraved structure, a well-worked-out cabin interior and a bomb bay. Decals for period markings are included in the package.
The Martin B-26 Marauder was an American twin-engine medium bomber used in the Second World War, especially in the European and Mediterranean theaters. It was marked out by its slim cigar-shaped fuselage and a high landing speed, which at first earned it an unflattering reputation among crews; once the crews were trained up, however, it was among the types with low combat losses. The B variant was powered by a pair of Pratt and Whitney radial engines.
First finish and paint the cabin interior and the bomb bay, and only then close up the fuselage. Use thin plastic cement, sand the joints and treat the surface with a primer. Metal surfaces come into their own with an airbrush, and the panel lines are picked out with a wash. Apply the decals onto gloss varnish and even everything out at the end with a matte clear coat.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
