This injection-molded plastic kit from ICM represents the American medium bomber Martin B-26B Marauder in 1:48 scale. Besides the aircraft itself, the package also contains a set of figures of USAAF pilots and ground personnel, which makes it possible to build a small scene around the aircraft. It is a complete set of an aircraft with its crew.
The B-26 Marauder was a fast twin-engine bomber with a roomy fuselage and a crew of five or more men. The B-26B version took an active part in US Army Air Forces operations in Europe, including the preparations for and the execution of the Normandy landings. Despite its reputation as a demanding machine to fly, the Marauder achieved very low losses in the later phases of the war.
Assemble and paint the cockpit and the interior before closing the fuselage. Use liquid cement on the plastic, and fill and sand the joints. Paint the aircraft with an airbrush after a primer has gone on; the figures help to give the model scale and a story, and careful highlighting of the faces and the equipment will repay the effort.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
