Chung-Cheng F-5F and Tigergazer RF-5E 1:48 is a boxing of two AFV Club plastic kits: the two-seat F-5F combat aircraft and the single-seat RF-5E reconnaissance machine in service with the Republic of China Air Force.

Injection-molded plastic kits in 1:48 scale from AFV Club. One box holds two aircraft, so you build two models: the two-seat F-5F and the reconnaissance RF-5E Tigergazer. Both subjects served with the Republic of China Air Force in Taiwan, where the machines of the F-5 family were built under license. Decals are part of the package.
The F-5 was a light supersonic machine with a pair of small engines, which spread to dozens of countries thanks to its low cost and easy maintenance. The F-5F version is two-seat: the manufacturer gained the cockpit for the second pilot by lengthening the nose, so the machine stayed usable in combat and did not serve for training alone. The Republic of China Air Force built the F-5E and F-5F family in large numbers at home and later had some of the older single-seaters converted to the RF-5E reconnaissance version with photographic equipment in the nose. These machines, designated Tigergazer, replaced the earlier reconnaissance Starfighters.
Start with the cockpits and the landing gear wheels while the parts are accessible; on the two-seat version remember the different instrument panel of the rear seat. Mask the glazing before spraying and glue it with a cement for clear parts that does not fog the surface. Gray and gray-white schemes come alive if the individual panels are shaded slightly. Spray a gloss coat before the decals, flatten the whole surface afterwards and pick out the engraved panel lines with a fine wash.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
