Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the Argentine twin-engined aircraft FMA IA-58 Pucará in 1:48 scale, in a boxing with parts for carrying the Mk.13 aerial torpedo. The maker is the Hong Kong brand Kinetic, which builds on its earlier Pucará mold and adds parts for this version to it. This is therefore a special, historically unique configuration rather than the basic boxing of the aircraft.
The FMA IA-58 Pucará is an Argentine twin-engined turboprop for counter-insurgency work and close support, with a characteristically long glazed cockpit and fixed landing gear. During the Falklands War in 1982 the Argentine Air Force experimentally modified one Pucará so that it could carry the American Mk.13 aerial torpedo. It is precisely that exceptional modification that the boxing captures.
Glue the plastic with a thin cement for polystyrene. The long glazed cockpit is the most demanding spot on this type, so mask the clear parts carefully and glue them with an adhesive for canopies, which will not attack the plastic. Apply a primer before painting and work with an airbrush. Put a gloss clear coat under the decals and seal the finished livery with a matte or satin clear coat.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
