Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded short-run plastic kit of the Fokker G.1A in 1:48 scale. The manufacturer lists it under the original name of the subject, Jachtkruiser, meaning fighter cruiser, and it is the version with Bristol Mercury radial engines. The decals carry the markings of Dutch military aviation. Check the exact contents of the package on the box.
The Fokker G.1 was an unusual machine for its day: a twin-engine, twin-boom heavy fighter with a short central nacelle for the crew and heavy concentrated armament in the nose. When Fokker showed it at the Paris air show in the mid-1930s, it picked up a nickname pointing to the figure of death with a scythe, because its firepower was exceptional in that category. In May 1940 the Dutch G.1s really did fight, although there were few of them and most were destroyed on the ground or in the first days of the fighting. The G.1A version is the one with Bristol Mercury engines.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
