MiG-15 / MiG-15bis seatbelts STEEL 1:48 from Eduard are seat belts of photo-etched steel, printed in color, for the cockpit of a model. It is an accessory, not a kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
The MiG-15 / MiG-15bis seatbelts STEEL set holds seat belts etched from steel in 1:48 scale and printed in color, so they go into the cockpit practically without painting. Steel is springier than brass, the parts can be shaped into a natural sag and then hold that shape. It is a detail accessory, not an airplane model.
On a model with an open canopy the ejection seat is the most conspicuous thing of all, and an empty shell with no belts gives itself away at first glance. Belts thrown over the edge of the seat or loosely folded on the cushion give the cockpit depth and the right scale more reliably than most other small improvements.
Cut the parts out with a sharp knife on a hard surface and pick them up with tweezers with smooth jaws so as not to scratch the printing. Shape the steel over a round object, a pencil lead for instance, gradually and without sharp kinks. They are glued with super glue in a really small amount, as an excess leaves a white haze. Do not paint over the metal buckles; it is enough to darken them lightly with a wash. Paint the seat and the cockpit before you seat the belts.
This is an accessory, not an airplane model. The kit, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
