The MiG-15 SPACE set is a suite of 3D decals supplemented by photo-etched steel parts, meant for improving the cockpit of the Soviet MiG-15 fighter in 1:48 scale. The set is cut to fit the MiG-15 kit from Eduard. It is neither a masking set nor an airplane model, but a set of decals and photo-etch for the interior.
The decals of the SPACE range have a real thickness, so the instrument panel and the side consoles get raised instruments, domed dial glass and legible lettering. The photo-etched steel part adds seat belts and small cockpit parts. The decals are applied with water like ordinary decals; they are not self-adhesive.
First sand the molded instruments on the plastic panel smooth, or the decal will not seat. Spray the base in the cockpit shade and let it dry. Soak the decal and move it only while it is wet. Do not use a decal softener with this range at all; it would attack the printed resin. Do not clear coat the dial glass, as it comes glossy from the factory. Finish the cockpit before you close the fuselage halves up.
This is an accessory, not an airplane model. The kit, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
