A replacement part for building the MiG-21 MF fighter in 1:48 scale. The set replaces the exhaust nozzle cover, that is a detail at the very end of the fuselage which is clearly visible on a finished model and tends to be simplified in plastic. The box states the MiG-21 MF from RFM as the target kit. The QuickBoost brand belongs to the Czech maker Aires Hobby Models. The MiG-21 was a single-engined supersonic fighter with a delta wing, built in many versions over several decades. The MF version was powered by a turbojet with an afterburner, and the rear of its fuselage is very striking in shape. It is precisely the end of the fuselage with the nozzle that is one of the places on a model where the difference between a simplified plastic part and a more accurately made add-on shows most.
Wash the resin parts in warm soapy water before gluing, so that the mold release agent disappears from the surface, otherwise the paint will not hold. Cut the casting block off with a saw or a cutting disc, never with sprue nippers, which will break resin up. Sand the mating surface flat and glue the part with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue) or with epoxy, because cement for plastic will not hold here. When sanding resin, use a respirator or sand wet, as the dust is not good to breathe.
This is an add-on for a model, not a kit. The base kit, paints and glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
