Resin wheel set for the MiG-23 in 1:48 scale, limited to the ML, MLA, MLD, late P and UM versions. An accessory for a kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
A set of replacement wheels for a model of the Soviet Mikoyan MiG-23 fighter in 1:48 scale from the Ukrainian brand Armory, cast in resin. The intended use is limited to the ML, MLA, MLD, late P and two-seat UM versions. This is not an aircraft kit but an accessory that replaces the wheels from the plastic kit. Check the part count on the box.
The MiG-23 was a single-engine fighter with a variable-geometry wing, on which the sweep was set to several fixed positions. It appeared in many versions that differed from one another in engine, radar and the shape of the dorsal spine. The ML version and the MLA and MLD that followed it were among the lightened and aerodynamically refined ones that grew out of service experience, the P version was procured for air defense, and the UM was a two-seat trainer. It is precisely because of this breadth of versions that it matters which of them an accessory is intended for.
Wash the resin wheels in warm soapy water and rid them of the mold release layer. Cut the casting block off with a saw and sand the mating surface flat so the wheel does not sit crooked on the axle. They are glued with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Paint the rim and the tire separately before gluing them together and go over the transition between them with a fine brush.
This is an accessory for a model, not a kit. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
