An injection-molded plastic kit of the French combat aircraft Dassault Mirage 2000-5F in 1:48 scale, in a boxing with Ukrainian Air Force markings. The maker is the Hong Kong brand Kinetic, which builds on its mold of the Mirage 2000C and 2000-5F and adds new decals with Ukrainian insignia to it. A sprue of clear parts is included; the manufacturer gives the underwing stores according to the configuration.
The Mirage 2000 is a French single-engined combat aircraft with a delta wing, brought into service in the 1980s. The 2000-5F version is the modernized machine of the French Air Force with improved avionics and the ability to carry modern guided air-to-air missiles. France decided to hand these aircraft over to Ukraine and the first machines have arrived there, so this is a current, closely followed subject.
Glue the plastic with a thin cement for polystyrene. A delta wing has large smooth surfaces on which every irregularity shows, so fill the seams carefully and sand the surfaces down before painting. Apply a primer and work with an airbrush. Put a gloss clear coat under the decals so that they do not silver, and seal the result with a satin clear coat.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
