The Mirage IIIE and Mirage 5 is a plastic kit of the French supersonic delta-wing fighter in 1:48 scale, with two versions in the box.
Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the French Dassault Mirage supersonic fighter in 1:48 scale from Kinetic. The box covers two versions: the IIIE strike aircraft and the export Mirage 5, which differs strikingly from it in the nose. You therefore need to decide at the start what you are building.
The Mirage III was a French fighter with a tailless delta wing that became one of the most successful export combat aircraft of all. The IIIE version was the strike form, with radar and a navigation system for attacking ground targets. The Mirage 5 came about at the request of an Israeli customer as a simplified form for clear weather conditions: the radar was left out of the nose and a fuel tank and weapons capacity took its place in the space freed up. That is exactly why the Mirage 5 has a noticeably more pointed and longer nose than the IIIE.
Decide at the start which version you are building and sort the nose parts according to the instructions so that they do not get mixed up. Glue, fill and paint the engine intake ducts before you close the fuselage up. The tailless delta wing has a large flat surface where every blemish shows; once the putty work is done, spray it with filler primer. If you are building an unpainted metal finish, the base must be perfectly smooth. Fit the drop tanks and the ordnance last.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
