This injection-molded plastic kit of the P-40E Warhawk from Hasegawa in 1:48 scale captures the American fighter aircraft of the Second World War.
Responsibility details are not available.
This kit from Hasegawa brings the American Curtiss P-40 fighter in the E version, nicknamed Warhawk, to 1:48 scale. It is an injection-molded plastic model to be assembled and painted, with a faithfully rendered fuselage, engine cowling and cockpit.
The P-40E was a single-engined fighter powered by a liquid-cooled Allison engine. Its long engine nose and sturdy airframe were characteristic. The Warhawk served with the US Army Air Forces and with the Allies in many theaters and gained a reputation as a tough machine well suited even to attacks on ground targets.
Use liquid modeling cement on the joints of the plastic parts and finish the cockpit before you close the fuselage up. Apply a primer before painting and spray the camouflage with an airbrush. Mask the canopy glazing. Lay the decals over a gloss coat and even out the surface to the degree of sheen you want.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
