A pre-cut self-adhesive mask set in 1:48 scale for the canopy framing and for the landing gear wheels. The single-sided version covers the outer side of the frames. The individual masks are numbered, so it is easy to place each one correctly without any cutting out. The manufacturer intends the set for the MiniArt P-47N kit. It is not a model of the airplane or a part of one, but an aid for painting.
The P-47N was the heaviest and last production version of the Thunderbolt. It received a new wing of greater span with integral tanks, which gave it the range needed to escort bombers over the Japanese home islands. It was powered by the eighteen-cylinder two-row radial R-2800 Double Wasp engine with a turbocharger housed in the rear fuselage.
For anyone building the P-47N in 1:48 scale who wants the canopy frames and the wheel rims cleanly separated without laborious masking with tape. The wheel masks make it easy to separate the rim from the tire, usually the most tedious part of the job when it is done by hand. They also save time, because the frames do not have to be traced and cut out.
