An injection-molded plastic kit of the legendary British Supermarine Spitfire fighter in the Mk.II version, in 1:48 scale from Revell. The set contains parts in polystyrene, clear cockpit parts and a decal sheet. The model is built by gluing plastic parts and is meant to be painted.
The Spitfire was a British single-engine fighter that made its name above all during the Battle of Britain. The Mk.II version followed on from the first production form and brought changes to the powerplant and the equipment. The characteristic elliptical wing is among the best-known features of the whole type.
Paint the cockpit before closing the fuselage and glue the clear parts with cement suitable for transparent plastics. Use thin cement for plastic and dry-fit the parts. For the camouflage scheme an airbrush and a primer prove themselves; apply the decals over a gloss coat. With this kit it is a good idea to strengthen the mounting of the landing gear.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
