This is an accessory for building plastic models in 1:700 scale, not a standalone model. The package contains twenty turned metal gun barrels of 127 mm caliber, that is, of the dual-purpose guns, for both surface and air targets, typical of American warships of the Second World War. The manufacturer is the Polish brand Aber.
The metal barrels replace the plastic parts from the kit. The high number of pieces covers the numerous dual-purpose battery of a larger vessel. The muzzle is accurate and has no mold seam, which gives the model an authentic look.
Cut the plastic barrel off, drill a hole in the remaining part and glue the metal barrel in with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Degrease the metal before painting and give it a base coat for good adhesion.
This is a detail accessory, not a ship model. The kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
