A plastic kit of the Czechoslovak Aero A-100 biplane in 1:72 scale from the Czech brand Smer.
Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of a Czechoslovak light bomber and reconnaissance biplane in 1:72 scale. It is released by the Czech brand Smer, which has long devoted itself to classic kits of domestic equipment. The kit is undemanding in part count and works well as an entry into interwar Czechoslovak aviation.
The Aero A-100 was created as an answer to a 1932 Czechoslovak Air Force requirement for a replacement of older machines. Series production ran from 1933 to 1935 and forty-four aircraft were built. The two-seat biplane of mixed construction served for reconnaissance and as a light bomber, and it became the basis for further derived types. After the republic broke up, some of the aircraft went into service with the Slovak Air Force.
With classic molds, expect to clean up flash and to check the seating surfaces dry. A biplane stands or falls on the upper wing: first seat the struts firmly, let the cement cure completely and only then add the bracing wires, for instance from stretched plastic rod or from fiber. Spray the fuselage and the flying surfaces before assembly, otherwise you will not reach them later. Interwar schemes suit matte paints and a light emphasis on the ribbing of the fabric surfaces.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
