Armament for the German Messerschmitt fighter in 1:72 scale from Aber, for the G-5 to K-6 versions. It is not a kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
A set of turned metal barrels in 1:72 scale for the armament of the German Messerschmitt fighter, also designated Bf 109, in the versions from the G-5 to the K-6. It is not a kit but a replacement for the plastic parts. At a scale this small the protruding barrels are the most fragile part of a model and in plastic they come out too thick, so a metal replacement improves the look at once.
The late versions of the German single-engined fighter carried a combination of machine guns above the engine and a cannon firing through the propeller hub. On the later machines the armament was strengthened, and underwing gun pods were added as well, which raised firepower at the cost of agility. The machines of the G and K families were the most numerous versions and served until the end of the war.
Degrease the metal barrels with alcohol and apply a primer, otherwise the paint will not hold on the smooth surface. Cut off the plastic parts and drill the hole exactly to the diameter of the pin, so that the barrel does not wobble. Meter out the glue with the tip of a wire, not straight from the bottle, because on small parts any excess overflows at once. Fit the barrels last of all, after the decals have been applied and the top coat sprayed, otherwise you will bend them during handling. Depending on the version you are building, check in advance which barrels belong on it, because the armament differed from machine to machine.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
