Bf 109 G-5 and G-6 air intake 1:72 (QuickBoost) is a replacement supercharger air intake for the Eduard Bf 109 G-5 and G-6 kits in 1:72 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
A replacement part for building the German fighter Messerschmitt Bf 109 in the G-5 and G-6 versions in 1:72 scale. The set replaces the supercharger air intake on the left side of the engine cowling, which in a plastic kit usually has the inlet opening filled in. The box gives the Bf 109 G-5 and G-6 from Eduard as the target kits. The QuickBoost brand belongs to the Czech maker Aires Hobby Models.
The Bf 109 of the G series, nicknamed the Gustav, was the most numerously produced version of the German fighter of the Second World War. It was powered by a Daimler-Benz DB 605 engine, and on the left side of the engine cowling the conspicuous supercharger air intake stood out. The G-5 version had a pressurized cockpit, while the G-6 was the basic combat version with armament in the fuselage, which led to the characteristic bulges above the engine.
Wash the resin parts in warm soapy water before gluing so that the mold release agent disappears from the surface, as otherwise the paint will not hold. Cut off the casting block with a saw or a cutting disc, never with nippers, which will break the resin. Sand the mating surface flat and glue the part with cyanoacrylate glue or epoxy, because cement for plastic will not hold here. When sanding resin use a respirator or sand wet; the dust is not good to breathe.
This is an accessory to a model, not a kit. The base kit, paints and glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
